Notice of Intent-Sole Source-News Routing Switcher Service

This is a notice of intent under the authority of FAR 5.203(a) to solicit and negotiate a sole source purchase order with CBS News (hereinafter - CBS), a large business, for their CBS Newspath routing switcher service. The Government intends to award a sole source purchase order to CBS for a period of one year to provide access to the CBS Newspath routing switcher service that allows the Government access to all CBS hard news material, all Newspath national feeds, and all special feeds coming into the CBS Washington Bureau. CBS is the only source that can provide rights and access to this material. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive offers/quotes/proposals. Any determination by the Government to compete this solicitation will be based upon responses to this notice at the sole discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any solicitation will contain provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36 dated 11 AUG 2009. Respondents must be currently registered with Central Contractor Registration at the time of award and throughout performance. Reponses must be submitted by no later than 2:00 PM Pacific Standard Time on 10 SEP 2009 in order to be considered.
