The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Bath, Maine (SSBA) intends to award a Sole Source contract to DEVAL LIFE CYCLE SUPPORT LLC, a Small Business Concern of 7341 Tulip Street in Philadelphia, PA 19136 for Munitions Trailers part number MHU-191 in support of ship outfitting requirement for US Navy Ships. SSBA will use FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition. The authority for soliciting a single source under simplified acquisition procedures is FAR 13.106-l(b)(l)(i), Soliciting Competition, which states that contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization). The proposed contract action is Sole Source. In accordance with FAR 5.102, the required justification documentation is attached. This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit product information in response to this notice via email to contact@example.gov and contact@example.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government.
