Full Description

This is an announcement/notice of intent to sole source. The Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific, intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to Rohde & Schwarz (R&S), 6821 Benjamin Franklin Dr, Columbia MD 21046. R&S will provide IQW wide-band I/Q data recorder is an instrument capable of fast, real-time recording, storage, and playback of wide-band I/Q streams of up to 512 MHz. Wideband Recorder is a high performance instrument that fills a capability gap in the laboratory. The system's large recording bandwidth, the R&S IQW I/Q Wideband Recorder system is the only Wideband Recorder that meets the necessary hardware requirements for our needs. Specifically, this hardware systems allows 512 MHz to be recorded, stored and played back without any sample loss. In addition, , the lab currently utilizes existing R&S equipment which requires use of this proprietary interface in order to allow for continued system interoperability This notice of intent to sole source is NOT a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The order will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. No hard copy Request for Quote (RFQ) will be prepared or made available for distribution. A determination by the government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. Authority for other than full and open competition is in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is not an RFQ, but any firm believing it has the capability to perform these services will be considered by the Navy. Capability statements may be submitted to Joshua.s.patton1@navy.mil. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis and must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of the items provided.
