THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Office of the Chief Procurement Officer (OCPO) on behalf of its Office of Supply Chain Management (OSCM) intends to award a sole source firm-fixed-price contract for GORDON BRUSH MFG. CO. 2M033245- BRUSH, WIPER, SOI PRESS, FOUR ROW, POLYPROPYLENE BRISTLES Used on Super Orlof Intaglio (SOI) Press equipment used by BEP for currency manufacturing. The intended contractor is Gordon Brush MFG. CO, 3737 Capitol Ave., City of Industry, CA 90601.
The Government intends to award a sole source contract utilizing a Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition IAW FAR Subpart 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.” The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333248 All Other Industrial Machinery Manufacturing.
THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, any responsible source believing that it can fulfill the requirement may be considered by the agency. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis and must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of equipment provided. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No reimbursement for any costs associated with providing the capability information will be provided by BEP.
