This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Part 5. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The statutory authority for this notice is 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) set forth in FAR 6.103-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.


Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion Repair, Groton (SSGR) intends to award a firm fixed price contract to Jamestown Metal Marine Sales, Inc., 4710 NW 2nd Ave., Suite 400 Boca Raton, FL 33431 for the manufacture of two folding shower doors for use onboard a Virginia Class submarine. Jamestown Metal Marine Sales, Inc., is the original equipment manufacturer of this material and owns the proprietary drawing.


All other responsible sources may submit a capability statement clearly demonstrating the ability to provide the required material in accordance with the specification before 5:00 P.M. EST on 09 SEPTEMBER 2026, which may be considered by the Agency for a future award. Responses to this notice shall be submitted to stephanie.l.neale.civ@us.navy.mil and andrea.a.cook.civ@us.navy.mil. The Government will not pay for any information received.


A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be posted as a result of this notice. This special notice is issued for informational purposes only. The justification and approval for sole source is attached.
