Full Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (Bureau) National Acquisitions Branch intends to award a sole source procurement under Simplified Acquisition Procedures to EBSCO Information Services (10 Estes Street Ipswich, MA 01938), for an annual subscription for EBSCOHOST Academic Search Complete and Criminal Justice Abstracts for the Bureau. The period of performance for the annual subscription will be October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2016. The NAICS Code is 511120. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. Any firms who believe they can meet the requirements may provide written notification to the contracting officer by 10:15 am Eastern Time, September 29, 2015. Supporting evidence must be furnish in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to supply an electronic database of publications including 11,900 abstracted and indexed journals, 7,900 full text journals, and 6,800 peer reviewed full text journals that will meet the requirement in a satisfactory manner and show competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses received will be evaluated. However, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Interested firms must provide a Capability Statement with the following information: Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Email Address, and Telephone. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement to EBSCO Information Services. Responses may be e-mailed to contact@example.gov by the deadline stated above. All vendors are hereby notified that if your response is not received by the date and time specified in this notice, it will not be considered. Faith-Based and Community based organizations can submit written notification to the contracting officer for which they are eligible.
