The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) plans to award a sole source purchase order to Wet Labs for the annual inspection, routine maintenance, and calibration of government-owned Wet Labs Water Quality Monitors and PAR sensors. This service is essential for the Gulf Ecology Division's need to obtain reliable, continuous water quality measurements in challenging high fouling, warm water marine environments with extended deployments and minimal field maintenance. The sole source designation is justified because Wet Labs is the exclusive manufacturer, distributor, and servicer of this specialized equipment, making them the only qualified entity to provide the necessary maintenance. No formal solicitation or request for quote is available for this procurement, but other firms or individuals who believe they can meet the EPA’s requirements are invited to submit a capabilities statement within ten calendar days of the announcement. Responses must be sent via email, with no phone inquiries accepted. The EPA holds sole discretion to determine whether to compete the purchase order. Questions are directed to the Contract Specialist, Marneice Wise, via email. The contract aligns with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and supports the EPA’s commitment to ensuring effective and uninterrupted environmental monitoring.
