This contract negotiation will be conducted exclusively with Golden Engineering, located in Centerville, Indiana, without a competitive solicitation, although the Government invites interested parties to express their interest and capabilities. Interested parties must provide detailed technical capabilities, pricing, and other pertinent information by June 20, 2018, to Heather Proctor, the contract specialist managing this acquisition. The contract’s place of performance is at the Commander Explosive Ordnance Disposal Expeditionary Support Unit One facility in San Diego, California. The procurement falls under NAICS code 334517, indicating it relates to electromagnetic signal transmission equipment. This sole source approach stems from the specialized nature of the repair work required for the XR150 X-Ray Systems supplied by Golden Engineering. The notice clarifies that while this is not a solicitation for competitive proposals, any submissions will be considered to assist the Government in deciding whether a competitive procurement is preferable.
