Project Title: Camouflage Uniforms for an Operational Assessment of Signature Reduction Technology The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price contract for the procurement of camouflage uniforms and hide sites for an operational assessment of a proprietary signature reduction technology developed by Milliken & Company. Delivery is required no later than 60 days from contract award. Market research was previously conducted and it has been determined that this is a sole source requirement. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S. C. Section 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. This acquisition will be solicited in accordance with (IAW) FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
