NOTICE OF INTENT FOR BRAND NAME ACQUISITION:


This notice is being published in accordance with Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.101 requiring dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is a Notice of Intent to award a brand name contract and is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The Defense Health Agency Healthcare Contracting Division Southeast (DHACA-HCD-SE) is issuing this Notice of Intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government’s intent to execute a Brand Name contract under RFO FAR 13.5, Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services.


This notice satisfies posting requirements at FAR Part 5.101. The intended brand is Advance Sterilization Products (ASP). Place of Performance is Naval Hospital (NH) Beaufort, South Carolina. NH Beaufort requires a 5-year service contract (Base + 4 options) for Sterilizer Maintenance services that includes annual inspection/preventative maintenance in addition to repair services, on an as needed basis. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform maintenance of two (2) Sterrad 100NX sterilizers to ensure uninterrupted services for patient care. The contractor shall provide technicians who are certified and trained in accordance with the ASP requirements to perform preventative maintenance and repairs to the sterilizers. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 811210.


This Notice of Intent is neither a formal solicitation, nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made based on unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government to not compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
