The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention plans to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to the Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics to maintain and update a standardized exposure coding system used by clinicians and public health professionals to document workplace-related illnesses and injuries. This effort supports occupational public health practice and surveillance by ensuring consistent and accurate tracking of occupational exposures. The contract has a base period of one year beginning September 1, 2026, with four optional one-year extensions through August 31, 2030, allowing for continuous improvement and adaptation of the coding system. All work will be performed at the contractor’s facilities, and the effort falls under the PSC Code Q533 and NAICS Code 81392 for professional organizations. The procurement is being conducted under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), permitting a non-competitive award due to the unique expertise and existing system maintained by the Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics. While this is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive bids, responses from interested parties received by July 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM ET will be considered to determine whether competition is feasible. The contracting office is located in Atlanta, Georgia, with primary point of contact Marquetta Taylor reachable via email at dwb7@cdc.gov or by phone at 770-488-3295. The government retains full discretion to proceed without competition based on the responses received.

Intent to Sole Source to Tormach Inc for a Tormach CNC PCNC 440 Mill Milling MachineThe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Tormach Inc for a Tormach PCNC 440 CNC milling machine, as it is the only known system that meets the government’s strict operational requirements. The machine must be compact, operate on standard 110V power, fit within existing laboratory space, integrate with current CAD software, and be user-friendly for non-machinist personnel. This notice serves as an intent to proceed without competition, but all responses received by 10:00 AM EDT on July 24, 2026, will be reviewed to determine whether the sole source rationale remains valid. While no formal competitive solicitation is planned, submissions from interested parties may influence the government’s final decision on whether to pursue competition. Responses must be emailed to Denedra Hardy at qfa5@cdc.gov, and the solicitation number is 2026-98176. This action falls under NAICS code 333517 and does not utilize any set-aside program.
