NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The US Environmental Protection Agency, Region 8, Acquisitions Management Unit, intends to award a sole source purchase order to YSI (Part of Xylem) IAW FAR 6.302-1. The services required are for a Sonde EX01 and EMM25 Sonde Spar System that is compatible with EPA’s existing equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. Description: Sonde EX01 and EMM25 Spar Systems that is compatible with EPA’s current equipment. The requirement consists of providing ongoing capabilities for environmental sample laboratory analysis and support of existing Sonde EX01 and EMM25 system consisting of: -Beacon Assembly Model SL15 -KOR & HYPACK VIPER Software -Mooring System for 13 Meters of Water -Optical,Conductivity/Temperature and PH/ORP Sensors -100 Meter Depth range and sensor -EXO Handheld display YSI is the only firm known to make and distribute this equipment. Additionally, YSI is the only responsible source known to be licensed or certified to change/upgrade software for EPA’s current system. Anticipated Delivery Date: October 2017 NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Responses to this posting must be in writing and provide clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination not to compete the proposed purchase order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
