Full Description

The 18th Contracting Squadron, Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan intends to award a sole source purchase order of Power Rectifier Parts and services. These parts will be used for the repair and upgrade of the 18th Communication Squadron's power rectifier supporting alternating current to direct current power conversion and backup power for the base telephone switch exhange facility. This proposed contract action is for products/services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Interested entries may submit clear and convincing evidence to support their ability to fully meet the requirement to the individual(s) identified below no later than September 05, 2023, 4:00 PM Japan Standard Time. The Government does not anticipate receiving responses to this notice. If parties choose to respond, any costs associated with the preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government. In order to comply with FAR 5.207(c)(15), the reason for lack of competition is as follows: This procurement will be awarded on a sole source basis to Benning Power Electronics Inc. Market research was conducted and it was determined that no other sources can provide the required Power Rectifier Parts that can meet this requirement. Notice to Offeror(s)/Supplier(s): Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs FAR 52.232-18 Availability of Funds, Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer.
