The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order (PO) to Atypon Systems, LLC., 19 Flett Road, Belmont, MA 02478. The purpose of this PO is to renew eXtyles software desktop licenses including annual maintenance and onsite training. This software is customized for MMWR (Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report) Journal. It is well integrated with other customized software application that MMWR uses. Any changes would disrupt publication of MMWR and threaten its impact on the Library of Medicine's database. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). This action will include option periods. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within two (2) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any response should be emailed to Eric Lyons at kpy2@cdc.gov by 10:00 AM EST November 14, 2019.
