THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. This announcement is a sole source pre-solicitation notice.
This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements."A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not return any information submitted, nor will the Government compensate any company who responds to this notice.
This requirement will be solicited with only one responsible source in accordance with FAR 12 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) hereby gives notice of its intent to award a sole source, Firm‑Fixed‑Price (FFP) contract to East Coast Metrology for the Tolerance-based Calibration & Repair with as found and as left data of (5) Government‑owned position, geometry and dimensions measurement equipment:
