Description: Local Telephone Service for LC Region Solicitation Number: R15PS00687 This solicitation is being advertised as a noncompetitive sole source solicitation. As provided under FAR 6.302-1, this project will be solicited on a noncompetitive basis as ¿Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements¿. Project Description: The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Regional Office (LCRO), Boulder City, Nevada, intends to award, on a sole source basis, a purchase order to Central Telephone Company, Monroe, LA. The Lower Colorado Regional Office has an ongoing requirement for miscellaneous standard local Phone services. CenturyLink is the only vendor that currently services Boulder City, NV and owns the cable that currently connects into the LCRO facilities. Other vendors would require construction, and easements and pulling cables into the campus at 2 separate locations which would create an unacceptable amount of risk in obtaining /continuing a vital service. A Determination to Solicit Sole Source has been prepared in support of this acquisition. It is anticipated that a firm fixed price Purchase Order with four option periods will be awarded on July 31, 2015. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, capability statement, proposal, or document of explanation and evidence as to how your company can perform these services in the specified locality by Friday, July 17, 2015, which shall be considered by the agency. The contract award information will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
