Full Description
Description
The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) intends to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order on a sole source basis to Metrohm USA, Inc. (9250 Camden Field Pkwy, Riverview, FL 33578) for the procurement of one (1) Metrohm 888 Titrando System and associated services.
Requirement Details
The contractor shall provide the following equipment and services:
- One (1) Metrohm 888 Titrando with OMNIS Software
- Flat membrane electrode with integrated temperature sensor
- Required cables, accessories, and installation hardware
- Installation, configuration, and functional verification
- User familiarization training for staff
- Three (3) year instrument warranty (Standard Metrohm warranty)
Statutory Authority
This purchase is being conducted under the authority of FAR 12. The FSIS has determined that Metrohm USA, Inc. is the only source reasonably available to satisfy this requirement because the 888 Titrando system features proprietary OMNIS software and specialized intelligent electrodes (iTrodes) that are unique to the Metrohm ecosystem and necessary for current lab continuity/technical requirements.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is a synopsis for informational purposes only. However, any responsible source that believes it can meet this requirement may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency.
Responses must include:
- Company Name and CAGE Code.
- Technical description of how the proposed alternative meets all requirements listed above.
- Confirmation of ability to provide a three-year warranty and authorized installation.
Responses will be used to determine if a competitive procurement is necessary, at the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
