Description


The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Clinical Center, Department of Laboratory Medicine intends to negotiate and award a sole source firm-fixed-price purchase order to Evident Scientific MIS, Inc., 140 Kendrick Street, Needham, MA 02494, for the procurement and installation of Olympus BX53F2 and BX43 clinical microscopy systems, integrated camera systems, Cellsens software licenses, and associated accessories required to support Hematology diagnostic operations within the NIH Clinical Center.

Background


The Department of Laboratory Medicine serves as the clinical laboratory for the NIH Clinical Center and provides laboratory support for patient care, clinical research protocols, and training in clinical pathology. Evident Scientific MIS, Inc. is uniquely qualified as an authorized distributor and service provider for Olympus clinical microscopy systems and has demonstrated the capability to provide compatible hardware, software integration, installation, warranty support, training, and ongoing technical support necessary for high-complexity clinical laboratory operations. The proposed contractor possesses specialized expertise in configuring microscopy systems for hematology and pathology applications, including integration with existing Cellsens imaging software and SoftPath reporting workflows.
