NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The US Environmental Protection Agency, Region 8, Acquisitions Management Unit, intends to award a sole source purchase order to ThermoFisher Scientific IAW FAR 6.302-1. The services required are for a Thermo Ion Chromatography System that is compatible with EPA¿s existing equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. Description: ThermoFisher Ion Chromatography System consisting of and compatible with the following: Electrolytic suppression Conductivity detection 100% compatible with Chromeleon software (currently on EPA equipment) 100 % compatible with AS-DV autosamplers (currently on EPA equipment) ThermoFisher is the only known responsible source licensed or certified to modify or change/upgrade software/parts for EPA¿s current system. Delivery Date: October 2017 NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Responses to this posting must be in writing and provide clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination not to compete the proposed purchase order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
