Pursuant to (FAR) 13.106-1(b), The National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Directorate for Biological Sciences (BIO) intend to negotiate a sole source purchase order with KnowInnovations, Inc. from date of award - May 2022. In anticipation of releasing a new solicitation for the terminal year of the NSF Understanding the Rules of Life (URoL) Big Idea, the URoL Steering Committee seeks to solicit input from the research community. In March through May, 2022, NSF will hold a Town Hall and a series of four workshops facilitated by professionals with expertise in bringing together diverse members of the research community to discuss creative strategies and build new research collaborations aimed at exploring how rules governing genotype-environment-phenotype relationships might be used to address grand challenges facing our society. KnowInnovations, Inc. is the only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This synopsis is for informational purposes only.
