Full Description

The Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Shore Infrastructure Logistics Center (SILC) intends to enter into negotiations on a sole-source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 with Morton Bahamas Limited, Matthew Town, Inagua, Bahamas, for providing Jet A Aviation fuel, Diesel and Gasoline to the USCG Air Station Clearwater's base in Great Inagua. Because Great Inagua, Bahamas is located in a remote area, Morton Bahamas Limited is the only known source who has the capabilities available to barge in Jet A Aviation fuel, Diesel, and Gasoline and who can supply the demand of fuel required by the Air Base on a daily basis. The NAICS Code is 424720. The small business size standard is 200 employees. The period of performance shall be from 01 October 2016 through 30 September 2017 with four (4) one-year options to run through 30 September 2021 if all options are exercised. The contract type will be firm-fixed price. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Business sources, able to provide the above listed services are encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 days of its publication. Respondents will be required to demonstrate their abilities to support this effort while ensuring their proposed method in their proposal does not have any potential adverse impact upon schedule or price. Interested firms should submit in writing, its name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size, and a brief statement regarding its capability to provide the above services. If no responses are received within fifteen (15) days with sufficient information to determine that another responsible source is available, negotiations will be conducted with Morton Bahamas Limited, Matthew Town, Inagua, Bahamas.
