The Port of Long Beach, acting by and through its Harbor Commissioners (Port), approved Notice of Mutual Agreement (NMA) No. 2026-1 between the Port of Long Beach, Port of Los Angeles, Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority, Union Pacific Railroad Company, and BNSF Railway Company. NMA No. 2026-1 approves a two-year extension of the Alameda Corridor Dispatch Agreement through October 14, 2028. The existing Dispatching Agreement between the Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority (ACTA), the BNSF Railway, and the Union Pacific Railroad (UP) has been in place since January 30, 2002 and is set to expire on October 14, 2026. The current Dispatching Agreement allows for the use of subcontracting in regards to the dispatching services provided to ACTA. Alameda Belt Line, Inc. (ABL) was selected to perform the dispatching services for the Alameda Corridor on July 22, 2024, and will continue serving in this role under this proposed extension.
