The Ogden Air Logistics Center intends to extend contract FA8223-08-C-0002 to provide engineering and logistical support for Royal Saudi Air Force F-15C Mission Trainers. The proposed extension would move the period of performance from December 31, 2010, to June 30, 2011. Scope of work includes software and hardware engineering, depot level maintenance, and the provision of qualified instructors and operator/maintainers at three sites in Saudi Arabia: King Abdul Aziz Airbase, King Khalid Air Base, and King Fahad Air Base. A Secret clearance is mandatory for this effort, and the prime contractor must secure Technology Assistance Agreements through the U.S. State Department. Due to Saudization requirements, the prime contractor must utilize Saudi owned subcontractors for all on-site work. Because the government holds no data rights to the trainers, interested parties must negotiate rights with McDonnell Douglas Training Systems. This notice is for planning purposes and is not a formal request for proposal, though interested firms are invited to submit company experience and licensing capabilities within 15 days of publication.
