Notice of award of a sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR 13). This notice is for information only, a solicitation will not be issued. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 443120. In accordance with FAR 13.106-1, the Government intends to negotiate a sole source contract for maintenance renewal subscription of existing Sybase software. A subscription with genuine support from the software publisher is required. The Government has determined SAP Government Support and Services (SAP NS2) is the only source that will satisfy the agency requirements. Applicable sole source justification and approval is attached to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes that it can meet the specifications above may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. All inquiries and concerns must be addressed in writing to USDA/OPPM/POD - ITS Contracting Branch, ATTN: Christine Wallace, 2150 Centre Ave, Bldg A, Ste 145, Fort Collins, CO 80526, or sent by email to contact@example.gov. Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Response to this sole source notice and justification is not required.
