The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity proposes to award to Fairbanks Morse Engine, 701 White Avenue, Beloit, WI, 53511-5447, on a sole source basis, for the purchase of engine parts and accessories. Competing this requirement and awardin g to any other manufacturer and system would result in substantial delays and disruption of several key projects already in progress and would also increase the overall cost to the government. This procurement shall be under other than full and open compe tition procedures in accordance with FAR 6.302. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. If no written responses are received at least fifteen (15) days after the public ation of this response, the purchase will be awarded without further notice.
