This is a Sole Source synopsis published for informational purposes only. The United States Air Force Test Center/Directorate of Contracting (AFTC/PZIEB), Edwards AFB, CA intends to issue a sole source contract to Aerotronics LLC 210 Juniper Lakes Blvd. #5105 Jupiter, FL 33458 for the JSE F-35 Custom Rudder Assembly. The contract will be executed by means of other than full and open competition, due to the need to maintain commonality, interoperability and compatibility with the current systems located at Edwards AFB already used by the JSE team. In order to comply with FAR 5.207(c)(15), the reason for lack of competition is as follows: Crew Station contract FA9302-21-C-0021 required vendor to incorporate Rudder Pedals previously purchased under contract FA9302-19-P-5028. Additional Crew Stations are being purchased, which requires the purchase of rudder pedals that are of the identical to those required in contract FA9302-21-C-0021. These pedals must be exact for commonality and continuity between same platform Crew Stations. Designing new pedals from a new vendor would be costly, and could possibly create differences that can have a large negative effect on pilot muscle memory and tactile feedback, so it is in the best interest of the government to use the pedals already designed and currently in use. Contractors must be registered in System for Award (SAM) at www.sam.gov Please submit all questions, comments and feedback regarding this this training via e-mail to the following Points of Contact: Mr. John Walker, Contract Specialist, Email: contact@example.gov Ms. Shelley White, Contract Specialist, Email: contact@example.gov No telephone responses will be accepted. Any information submitted by respondents to this Notice of Contract Action is strictly voluntary. To the maximum extent possible, please submit non-proprietary information. Any proprietary information submitted should be identified as such, and will be properly protected from disclosure. No classified information shall be submitted. Any response submitted by respondents to this Notice of Contract Action constitutes consent for that submission to be reviewed by Government personnel.

URC-300 VHF/UHF Transceiver Assembly and Remote Control Unit (RCU)
Solicitation # ACQ-26-H096
The Department of the Air Force, through the Air Force Test Center (AFTC/PZZF) at Edwards AFB, intends to award a sole-source, Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order to ACG Systems, Inc. under solicitation ACQ-26-H096. This procurement is for one URC-300 VHF/UHF Transceiver Assembly and ten associated auxiliary components, including a Remote Control Unit (RCU), mounting brackets, antennas, and cabling. The equipment is required to expand the capabilities of the Mobile Telemetry Van supporting the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) and must integrate with the proprietary CM-350 V2 control protocols. The government has determined that ACG Systems, Inc. is the only responsible source capable of satisfying the requirement because they are the original equipment manufacturer and the hardware must meet mandatory military TEMPEST and EMI shielding standards for classified and unclassified operations. Utilizing non-ACG hardware would result in significant duplication of costs and cause a critical six-to-nine-month delay due to mandatory recertification, which would threaten B-52 engine replacement timelines and operational readiness targets. The award is based on the vendor's unique technical compatibility and the determination that the pricing is fair and reasonable based on historical data from previous contract FA9302-22-F-G596.
