AI Contract Overview
The contract pertains to the procurement of a transmitter identified by the military specification MIL-T-24742, with the specific designation M24742C-S-52-D-X-DC-A, a pressure compound gauge designed for seawater applications, operating on a two-wire DC power system with milliampere output, and classified as a critical application item. The item must comply with stringent technical and quality requirements mandated by the DLA Master List, and is subject to tailored higher-level quality provisions applicable to both manufacturers and non-manufacturers. Inspection and acceptance occur at the origin, with sampling governed by MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331 Table 1, using zero-defect acceptance unless otherwise specified, and critical, major, and minor attributes must align with predefined verification levels and AQLs. Mercury or mercury-containing compounds are strictly prohibited unless explicitly exempted for functional uses in batteries, fluorescent lamps, instruments, sensors, controls, weapon systems, or NAVSEA-specified reagents, with portable mercury-containing devices requiring shockproof construction and secondary containment per NAVSEA 5100-003D. Packaging and marking must adhere to MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129 standards, with unit packaging specified under QUP 001 and pack code U, and palletization conforming to DLA packaging requirements. Deliveries are to be made FOB origin within four days, with no variance permitted in quantity, and the sole delivery point is the DLA Distribution facility in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. The contract requires compliance with all applicable defense information handling protocols, and the unit of issue is defined per DoD standards. The solicitation number is SPE4A5-26-T-332D, with a response deadline of August 13, 2026, and an original delivery requirement of October 24, 2026, though the need ship date is set for August 18, 2026. Two units are to be delivered under purchase request 7015606293, with the NSN 6695016040260, and all documentation and performance must align with referenced quality assurance provisions and technical directives effective as of the solicitation issue date.
