NS_GETS Network Monitoring, Awareness & Reporting Solution

Shared Services Canada teams are currently using a diverse number of tools for management and performance monitoring of network elements across Canada.  The tools are deployed differently with attention to different metrics and capabilities, and little standardization. SSC is now looking to develop a common approach to monitor and manage Government of Canada networking infrastructure using a standardized set of tools.These tools, used in a centralized environment, will enhance SSC’s networking infrastructure capacity planning and reporting functions. The information provided to Government of Canada partners through proactive monitoring will help them make informed decisions to optimize their departmental networks.Standardizing how SSC monitors and manages Government of Canada networking infrastructure will help SSC anticipate network service interruptions, decrease incident response times and increase network security.The requirement is to provide SSC with a highly scalable software solution providing the following key capabilities: Network Visibility & Availability Monitoring Device Configuration Management Performance & Capacity Monitoring Reporting and Programmability
