This Request for Quotations (RFQ) issued by DLA Aviation, ASC Commodities Division, is for the procurement of 4 plain hexagon nuts (NSN 5310-01-392-8585). The solicitation, number SPE4A6-26-T-10UR, is not a small business set-aside and requires quotations to be submitted via the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) by August 7, 2026. The required delivery date is set for 336 days after award, with a specific need ship date of July 10, 2027, to the DLA Distribution DDSP New Cumberland Facility in Pennsylvania. Offerors are encouraged to provide quantity ranges due to demand volatility and must disclose if any materials are of non-domestic origin. Notably, parts produced via additive manufacturing are ineligible for award unless specifically authorized. The contract incorporates rigorous technical and quality requirements, including physical identification and bare item marking per RQ017 and packaging in accordance with DLA requirements and ASTM D3951. Strict prohibitions are in place regarding the use of mercury or mercury compounds in preservation, packaging, or marking. Quality assurance and sampling must adhere to MIL-STD-1916, ASQ H1331, or comparable zero-based sampling plans, with specific verification levels assigned to critical, major, and minor attributes. Compliance with the Buy American Act, the Berry Amendment, and various cybersecurity and ethical standards—such as combating trafficking in persons and safeguarding covered defense information—is mandatory.
