AI Contract Overview
The contract involves the procurement of 8 plain plate nuts with NSN 5310-01-608-3764 under solicitation SPE4A6-26-T-54X8, issued by the Defense Logistics Agency’s ASC Commodities Division. Delivery is required within 20 days after contract award to JBSA Fort Sam Houston, Texas, with FOB Origin terms applying and all shipments subject to MIL-STD-2073-1E packaging and MIL-STD-129 marking standards, including proper hazard labeling per OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard and radioactive material specifications. The item is subject to export controls under ITAR or EAR, restricting disclosure to foreign persons even within the U.S., and access is limited to contractors certified under the US/Canada Joint Certification Program, trained in DOD export controls, and approved by DLA. Technical data referenced in the solicitation is governed by the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, with revisions controlled by the solicitation or award date depending on acquisition size. The contract incorporates multiple FAR and DFARS clauses mandating cybersecurity compliance with NIST SP 800-171, including submission of a System Security Plan and assessment results to the DoD Supplier Performance Risk System using the CAGE code, assessment date, score, and target compliance date. Offerors must maintain active UEI and CAGE codes in SAM.gov and certify business size and socioeconomic status, including any joint venture partners, with full disclosure for covered defense telecommunications equipment under DFARS 252.204-7016. The contract requires compliance with employment verification, anti-human trafficking, equal opportunity, and whistleblower protection clauses, with all invoicing processed exclusively through WAWF using accepted document types for fixed-price deliveries. No pricing details are provided in the solicitation, leaving contract value undetermined, and no formal evaluation factors or award basis are specified; however, the use of simplified acquisition procedures and the DLA Master Solicitation Revision 104 suggests a firm-fixed-price award likely based on lowest price technically acceptable criteria. Payment will be routed through the DoDAAC system, with contracting officer and technical representative details to be provided upon award.
