The nuts are to be supplied according to specific packaging and marking requirements outlined in MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129, with preservation methods following ASTM D3951. The contract strictly prohibits the use of mercury or mercury-containing compounds in any hardware, preservation, packaging, or packing materials, except under defined exceptions. Sampling and inspection will be performed at the destination using MIL-STD-1916 or a comparable zero-based sampling plan, with quality compliance ensured through required Certificates of Quality Compliance and adherence to DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements. Delivery is set for 162 days with FOB origin terms, without quantity variance allowed, and full and open competition applies. The requirements also ban class I ozone-depleting chemicals and mandate the submission of substitute chemicals for approval when necessary. Configuration changes, variances, or waivers must be managed under defined change control procedures. The contract references various government directives and quality assurance provisions to ensure product conformance while providing contact details for inquiries and a link to the solicitation documentation.
