This insulation assembly will protect the unit from temperature and flame contact damage.oThe burn area will be protected by refractory tile insulation on the full height of the walls and ceiling of the burning areaoThis insulation is highly effective and ensures several hundred burns within the burning zone without damage to the structure (provided that the proper amount of wood is burned)oThe insulation minimizes heat transfer to the outside of the unit, enabling a long-lasting life. With proper usage and care, the unit will last 15+ yearsoThe tiles shield and protect the training structure from the extreme environments of live fire training. The lining is the only proven method of protection that can withstand repeated high temperatures and extreme thermal shock created during fire training evolutions without spalling, cracking, or splintering•Floor insulation burn areaoThe burn area’s floor is raised approximately 20 inches above the observation area’s level. Fire brick will be placed on top of the floor to prevent damage from heat or falling pieces of wood on fire•Wood holding bracketsoThe OSB holding brackets are made of chains, with weights holding the OSB boards against the wall and ceiling. The signal light with a siren will be installed against the outer wall of the container, where it is best visibleoThe signal light will behave as follows:▪The light will burn continuously green when the installation is used▪The light will flash orange, and a siren will ring when:▪An emergency switch button is pressed▪Gas has been detected▪Temperature exceeds the maximum threshold•Gas, Water and Electricity•Gas connectionoThe system is designed to work with an LPG gas connection provided by the clientoTemperature note: the connection to the gas bottle is enough to operate the different fire simulators, so long as the outside temperature is>5oF (10C). When the simulator is operating in an environment where the outside temperature is often below 50F(10C), we advise connecting the container to an LPG gas tank instead of bottles (to be provided by the client)oWhen connecting to a gas tank, the minimum connection should be a ¾” connection to deliver a minimum of 80 kg/h (1000 kW) of vapor LPG at a pressure of 1.5 bar. The connection to the gas tank must be sufficient to operate the different fire simulators•Water connectionoThe container will need to be connected to a water supplyoThe container will have a standard coupling. Other connectors are available upon requestoNormal Fire Department connections and usage are required•Power connectionoThe container needs to be connected to an electrical supplyoThe container will have a standard connection of 3 Phases + Neutral + Protective groundoThe required power the container is needed will be 2 phase WYE 208V + Neutral + Ground 60AMPSoLighting will be installed on the ceiling in the ventilation room and main technical area, where the control cabinet is installedoThis fixture will be controlled via a switch next to the outer door. A fully charged battery can be used continuously for 8 hours2.5.Training Systems Required•Smart Class A Fire Cribs (Dual Combustion Fire)oThe Smart Class A Trainer allows the instructor to teach complete extinguishment firefighting training on a repeatable scale. A built-in gas burner will enable instructors to start Class A fires with the push of a button, and an integrated deluge system allows the fires to be quickly extinguished in case of an emergency•Dual Fuel TechnologyoSmart Class A Cribs have specially designed bult-in gas ignition module. Underneath the standard timber crib, a gas-fired burner is mounted. This burner can ignite the Class A material at the start of the training session. When the Class-A fire has been extinguished, the gas burner will reignite the Class-A material rapidly, allowing the next training cycle to start quickly•Deluge SystemoThe Dual Combustion Fire Tray’s steel construction includes an emergency extinguishing system. This system ensures that the Class A fire will be put out in the unlikely event of an emergency. The built-in water suppression system has a high-volume water line connection for rapid fire suppression•Ventilation SystemoA dynamic ventilation system allows instructors to control smoke and temperature levels, enabling various fire behavior training. The system includes complete ventilation control, allowing instructors to prevent the scenario, fire behavior, and neutral plane. In addition, the ventilation system acts as a safety mechanism by removing smoke in an emergency•Pilot Burner Control UnitoThe Control Unit will be installed separately in an adjoining Technical Room. It consists of a pilot unit cabinet housing the standard control components. This plate assembly will be made of stainless steel. The pilot burners will be mounted so they are not visible to the trainee.•The pilot flame control unit has an industrial-grade pilot burner, which ignites the gas burners in the adjacent burn roomoThe pilot burner is one of the most critical elements of the entire system. The pilot burner consists of a stainless-steel pipe to which the following elements are attached:▪The ventilator▪Air pressure switch▪Ignition pin▪Ionization pin▪Burner▪Reducing valveoThe ventilator provides cooling for the pilot burner and supplies air for the pilot flame. To ensure proper operation, the air pressure switch, in combination with an industrial burner control element, performs a zero-point check.oThe pilot flame is ignited via the ignition pin and a high-voltage transformer. The ionization pin monitors the presence and stability of the pilot flame. Continuous, inextinguishable, and monitored pilot burners will ensure the fire ignites on command from the control room.•Smart Class A Fire CribsoThe fire cribs are constructed as follows:▪Material: 4 mm grade steel▪Dimensions: approx. 39 inches x 30 inches x 41 inches (L x W x H). Other sizes are available.▪Equipped with one burner element, fitted to the Class-A crib, and equipped with one flame height. The gas will escape from the burner element at predetermined points.▪The entire housing is treated with a special heat-resistant paint.▪Fitted inside the crib frame is a deluge system connected to the water supply.2.6.Ventilation System•Extraction fanoThe safety fan extracts hot air and smoke from the training area, creating an environment with good visibility.oA ventilator with a capacity of 4120 ft³/m (7.000 m³/h) will be installed in the ventilation technical area. The cables leading to the ventilator will be installed inside a pipe or cable duct.fan will continuously operate and check the system via airflow switches. If the fan malfunctions, the system will go to a safe stage, and an emergency shutdown will occur.the fan will continuously run, it will run at low speed to prevent extraction of smoke and air from the training space. It will be turned to maximum capacity in the following situation:oThe temperature safety thresholds in the training area have been exceeded.▪Accumulated gas over 10% has been detected▪An emergency button has been pressed▪On request of the trainer via the remote control▪The control cabinet and the remote control can control this fan. This system will be connected to the emergency stop system.2.7.OFA Graphics Installation•Metal Plates on outside of ContaineroThe vendor will install two fabricated plates on the outside of the training trailer consisting of the following:▪Size: Six Foot by Twelve Foot (or recommended size by engineered practice).▪The plates will hold two vinyl graphics logos on each side: one SFM Logo and One OFA logo.
