The Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound plans to solicit and award a firm-fixed-price supply order for OEM Coast Marine and Industrial Supply Inc. pilot ladders designed specifically for a T-AO class vessel. This procurement is being conducted on a sole-source basis because the pilot ladders must be Type Approved by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and certified to comply with international safety and regulatory standards including SOLAS and USCG. Although other companies may indicate their interest and capability to respond, this input will only be considered for the purpose of determining if a competitive procurement is warranted, with the final decision resting with the government. The government will assess the offeror’s pricing to ensure it is reasonable and review past performance as part of the responsibility determination process. The solicitation, identified by number N0040626Q0241, was posted in late May 2026 with a response deadline in early June 2026.
