Solicitation N32205-13-T-1469, issued by the Department of Defense Military Sealift Fleet Support Command Norfolk, seeks a firm-fixed-price purchase for original equipment manufacturer main engine parts and repair services for the USNS Tippecanoe. Specifically, the requirement focuses on a vibration damper and related components for SEMT Pielstick main propulsion diesel engines. Due to the proprietary nature of the technical data and the necessity for OEM authorization, the agency has justified a limited source procurement, restricting competition to Fairbanks Morse Engines and Motor Services Hugo Stamp. The contract specifies delivery of the required parts to the MSC BATS Warehouse in San Diego, California, with a required delivery date of December 1, 2013. The procurement is categorized under NAICS code 333618 and is managed by point of contact David G. Foster. Evaluation of quotations is based on the terms outlined in the SF 1449 continuation sheet, adhering to applicable FAR and DFARS clauses for a limited source purchase.
