This Firm-Fixed Price Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity Multiple Award Contract was awarded to Bird-Johnson Propeller Company, LLC and Kongsberg Maritime, Inc. for the procurement of original equipment manufacturer propulsion systems, steering gear, and associated parts and services. Supporting various MSC class vessels, including T-AKE, T-AO, T-AKR, T-ESB, and T-ESD, the contract was awarded on an other than full and open competition basis due to proprietary rights and the critical safety nature of the equipment. The total program ceiling is 49,000,000 dollars, with a base ordering period from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2031, and an optional six-month extension through September 30, 2031.
