OFFICE FURNITURE FOR US EMBASSY MADRID

The U.S. Department of State is soliciting proposals for the supply and installation of new office furniture for the second floor of the Chancery at the U.S. Embassy in Madrid, Spain. The project follows the OBO Interior Workplace Planning Strategy and includes the procurement of electrically powered sit-stand desks with dual monitor support, systems furniture with central power spines, storage cabinets, meeting tables, and lobby furniture. The scope also encompasses the removal and disposal of existing furniture. The total project duration is 72 days from the Notice to Proceed, with work commencing within five calendar days of that notice. Contractors must adhere to rigorous quality and safety standards, including ANSI/BIFMA for panel systems and height-adjustable surfaces, ANSI/AWI 400 Premium Grade for factory finishing, and ANSI HP-1 Grade AA for wood veneers. Electrical components must meet UL 1286 ratings at 250V/50Hz and comply with NEC, EU electrical safety directives, and Spanish occupational safety regulations. Key deliverables include a detailed Activity Hazard Analysis safety plan due within 15 days of the Notice to Proceed, as well as layout drawings and wiring diagrams subject to COR approval. Proposals must include past performance information and remain valid for 180 days.
