Ohio EPA SFY25 Medical Monitoring Contract

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) is pursuing a contract for medical screening services aimed at ensuring employee compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. This contract targets employees engaged in asbestos work, hazardous materials response, and those needing medical clearance for respirator use. The contractor will provide these services to up to 50 employees from facilities within a 30-minute drive of four Ohio cities: Bowling Green, Columbus, Dayton, and Twinsburg. Services under this contract include a comprehensive array of medical evaluations such as periodic medical screenings for various worker categories, including respirator users and hazmat handlers. The contractor is obligated to conduct screenings compliant with OSHA standards and provide results to employees within 30 days. They must promptly notify the Ohio EPA if any employee is unfit for respirator use, ensuring such communication occurs within 48 hours. Other key services include limiting appointment wait times, handling scheduling within a specified timeframe, and referring employees to physicians for non-work-related health issues discovered during screenings. Additional testing procedures will require approval if costs surpass $200. The contract is set to be active throughout fiscal year 2025, establishing clear guidelines for operational timelines and service delivery locations.
