Full Description

Martin County is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) for professional engineering consulting and design services to mitigate the sea level rise impacts to low lying residential areas in the Old Palm City North neighborhood and to prepare construction documents for neighborhood restoration that includes infrastructure rehabilitation. The purpose of the RFQ is to contract with a Consultant to provide a drainage study of the area which will include sea level rise projections as identified in the County’s Sea Level Rise Report and subsequent Vulnerability Assessments. As part of the study, the Consultant will identify climate adaptation measures to mitigate the effects of sea level rise on transportation and public utilities based on identified levels of service options. The Consultant will provide a cost benefit approach analysis on each of the mitigation scenarios. Once a mitigation scenario is selected, the Consultant will prepare the construction documents for the mitigation approach to include plans for general aging infrastructure rehabilitation within the publicly maintained right-of-way throughout the corridor.
