On-Call Audio/Visual Technician Services

The City of Cathedral City is soliciting proposals for an on-call audio/visual technician services agreement to support live events at the Cathedral City Community Amphitheater, including City-produced programs, community gatherings, and private rentals. The selected provider will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot City-owned sound, lighting, and video systems, ensuring reliable performance during events and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Technicians must be available on short notice, hold relevant certifications, and demonstrate proven experience in live event production, particularly in outdoor amphitheater settings. Proposals must include detailed information on experience with concerts, festivals, and theatrical productions, a staffing plan with certified technicians, a rate schedule, proof of required insurance including commercial general liability and workers’ compensation, and references demonstrating past performance with public or municipal venues. Compliance with California prevailing wage laws, licensing requirements, and the California Public Records Act is mandatory. The City retains ownership of all submitted materials and will select the proposal most advantageous based on overall value rather than lowest price.
