On-Call Grounds and Landscape Maintenance Services

Lawrence is a diverse and multifaceted city that provides many of the amenities of a large metropolitan area, while still maintaining a strong sense of community. Located in Northeast Kansas, Lawrence is just 45 minutes west of Kansas City, and 30 minutes east of Topeka, the state capital. Lawrence offers a rich and fascinating history, a wide range of exciting cultural experiences, nationally recognized educational institutions, and some of the most unique and enjoyable shopping opportunities in the Midwest. Lawrence is governed by a city commission, Mayor and the day to day operations of the city are the responsibility of the City Manager. The City maintains a variety of public spaces—including parks, municipal facilities, rights‑of‑way, medians, trails, open spaces, landscaped areas, and other public-use properties—that require ongoing grounds and landscape maintenance. These areas are essential to community accessibility, public safety, and the overall appearance of the City's built environment. Seasonal fluctuations, public use patterns, and weather‑related impacts necessitate a structured maintenance program supplemented by responsive, as‑needed and emergency services. To support these needs, the City intends to establish a contract with one or more qualified contractor(s) capable of providing routine grounds maintenance; vegetation control; debris removal; turf, tree, and irrigation management; and all other related services necessary to maintain healthy and well‑managed landscapes throughout the community.
