Full Description

Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.5, the U.S. Army RDECOM, Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick, MA on behalf of the United States Army Soldier System Center, Natick, MA intends to negotiate and award a so le-source purchase order to McNett Corporation, 1411 Meander Avenue, Bellingham, WA 98229-5845. This effort is to provide the Government with 360,000 On Drops, Anti-Fog & Lens Cleaning Systems (Part Number 40725). This purchase is the result of the evaluat ion and testing of commercially available systems that were previously purchased. The On Drops, in testing, were found to be more durable than any other products tested. In addition, the McNett On Drops system was the only commercial item that consisted of a unique carrier bag/cleaning cloth with a single retention strap threaded through the bottle of cleaning/anti-fog gel and the carrier bag which prevents separation and loss of the components from each other. No other system had these required features. M cNett can also meet the Government required delivery schedule of January 2005. This procurement is part of a Rapid Fielding Initiative to support deployed/deploying troops in Areas of Operation and is subject to the availability of funds.
