The 42nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell AFB, AL hereby give notice of intent to award a sole source contract to EBSCO Industries, Inc, DBA EBSCO Information Services, 30 Park Road, Tinton Falls, NJ 07724-9715 as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-(b), soliciting from a single source to satisfy agency requirements. EBSCO will provide access to the following materials through their online database: CLIN 0001: EBSCO's Air Force Database Package includes: MasterFILE FullTEXT Premier, Academic Search FullTEXT Premier, Military and Government Collection, Business Source Complete, EBSCOHost Serials Directory Online, and Book Index with Reviews. EBSCO's Air Force Database Package provides an essential research capability in support of the Professional Military Education (PME) research needs of Air University students, both resident and distance learners. EBSCO AF Database provides in-depth scholarly magazine articles from military, defense, U.S. Government, and aerospace journals. The period of performance will be from 31 December 2010- 25 September 2011. This will include consecutive 4 one-year options beginning 26 Sep 2011 and end 25 September 2015. Please note, new license agreements will be required. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. If there are any other businesses that can provide the CLINs provided above, please provide supporting documentation to address the following questions: 1.) How many magazines/scholarly journals are included in your proposed product? 2.) What are the titles (provide a complete alphabetical listing)? 3.) What are the dates of coverage for the magazines/scholarly journals? 4.) How is access given to the product (IP recognition, Login/Password, etc.)? 5.) Are search results displayed as Citations only OR as Full-Text? 6.) Are search results (Citations or Full-Text) posted as durable/permanent Html links? 7.) Is training included with the purchase price OR an additional cost? 8.) Is training for the product onsite at the customer's location OR available online? 9.) Does the vendor provide usage analysis reports? Are the reports included in the purchase price OR an additional cost? 10.) Can the customer do their own usage analysis reports? All responses to this notice must be received before 3:00 pm CST on 19 November 2010. If no responsible, responsive offers are received by the above date, a sole source contract will be issued to EBSCO.
