This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101 requiring Contracting Officers to disseminate information for proposed contract actions expected to exceed $25,000. Further in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, The Department of Commerce intends to negotiate a contract award using other that full and open competition for online media services with Cision US, Inc, 332 S. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60604. The Department of Commerce intends to award to Cision US, Inc. a one-year plus four option years Firm Fixed price contract to provide on-line media services for online research capabilities using Bacon's Media Information Database. As a result, Cision US is the only responsible source that provides access to Bacon's Media Information Database. This notice of intent to award is not a request for proposals or a solicitation of offers. However, firms, companies or agencies may show their interest and /or capability by submitting a full capability statement that provides the same services as described above and be received no later than three (3) days after publication of this synopsis, Please provide information that documents your ability to provide the requested services by March 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. to contact@example.gov The estimated date of award is April 3, 2012. The Government will not be responsible for any costs in preparation of responses to this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
