Open Cell Foam Joint System

The Missouri Department of Transportation St. Louis District is soliciting bids for an Open Cell Foam Joint System under solicitation number MODOT SL 0000000088SL. The required system must be provided by a single manufacturer and consist of cellular polyurethane foam impregnated with 100 percent hydrophobic polymer and factory-coated with fuel-resistant silicone, field-applied epoxy adhesive primer meeting ASTM C 881, and field-applied silicone sealant bands meeting ASTM D 5893. The system must maintain a temperature service range of -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit and offer a working range of 50 percent in both tension and compression.
