Open Market Components of Fluorescence Microscope

The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), intends to negotiate solely with Micro Optics of Florida, Inc. for open market components of a Leica DM 5000 fluorescence microscope. Major components of the microscope will be purchased on GSA Schedule Number GS24F1325C. Non-GSA components include the DM5000 B base stand, Leica Application Suite: LAS Core-Package, CTR 5000, Stand Top Leica DM5000B, Chroma Photofluor II Excitation unit, liquid light guide for Photofluor II, Objective N Plan, Core software, Dongle, AF6000 Multi Channel Acquisition and onsite installation. Companies with the demonstrated capability and financial capacity to provide such equipment must submit a written substantive statement outlining the Company capabilities (including price lists) to the point of contact listed above by 5:00 pm. on July 28, 2011. This is not a request for proposal. No solicitation is available. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, upon receipt of responses to this notice, is solely at the discretion of the Government in accordance with FAR 13.106-1 (b). If no affirmative responses are received by July 28, 2011, at 5:00 pm. to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Micro Optics of Florida, Inc.. under the authority of FAR 6.302.
