U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates contracting with Contract Fabrication and Design (CFD), 5427 FM 546, Princeton, TX 75407 for critical components of the Ordinance Mounting System (OMS). The proposed action allows weapons systems to be mounted on the A/MH-6M aircraft. The proposed action will be solicited as a 9 month firm fixed price contract for supplies. CFD has designed, developed, manufactured these components and the Government does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. No telephone requests will be accepted. Firms that feel they can provide this service are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal, however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The estimated release date of the solicitation is 27 July 2009. The North American Industrial Classification Code is 336413; the business size is 1000 employees. You may request a copy via e-mail to sharon.r.washington@us.army.mil . The requirement will be FOB Origin as a non-commercial buy. See Note 22.
