Ornamental Gates

The Jefferson Parish Government is soliciting bids for the provision and installation of three ornamental gates at Laketown Park in Kenner, Louisiana. The scope of work includes the installation of two 6-foot wide by 5-foot high single swing gates and one 10-foot wide by 5-foot high double swing gate. All gates must match the existing Fortress V2 commercial style, featuring 3/4-inch pickets and a 3-rail flat top design, and must include heavy-duty self-closing hinges and Nationwide Keystone latches. The double swing gate additionally requires two lockable drop rods. The project must be substantially completed within 21 consecutive calendar days following the Notice to Proceed, with work performed during normal business hours from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Bidders are required to perform their own site measurements and must obtain and pay for all necessary permits from the Jefferson Parish Department of Inspection and Code Enforcement. Strict insurance requirements are in place, including Worker's Compensation, Commercial General Liability with a minimum of 1,000,000 dollars per occurrence, and Business Automobile Liability with a 1,000,000 dollar combined single limit. Final insurance certificates must be provided within ten calendar days of the bid opening to avoid being rejected as non-responsive. The contractor is responsible for maintaining a clean job site daily and ensuring all work is scheduled with the owner representative, Jarette Carmouche, five days in advance.
