The Optical Systems Group (OSG) of the Range Commanders Council (RCC) is inviting industry participation in an open Standards Committee focused on developing interface, protocol, and format standards for motion imagery systems used at OSG member facilities. The Committee aims to enhance interoperability among motion imagery systems and subsystems by gathering industry input on requirements, alternatives, selection, configuration, and integration of candidate standards. Emphasis is placed on solutions that adhere to the Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) and comply with the Department of Defense's motion imagery architecture as set by the Motion Imagery Standards Board (MISB). Meetings will be held twice a year during RCC/OSG gatherings, generally in spring and fall, and are open to government representatives, contractors, and vendors, with encouragement for technical personnel to actively contribute. The first meeting is scheduled for October 23, 2018, at the Hotel Encanto in Las Cruces, New Mexico, hosted alongside the RCC/OSG meeting at White Sands Missile Range.
