Osswald Park Improvements

The City of Fort Lauderdale is inviting qualified contractors to submit bids for the Osswald Park Improvements project located at 2220 NW 21st Ave. The scope of work encompasses a wide range of site enhancements including the installation of new playground equipment with safety surfacing, construction of an outdoor fitness area featuring equipment and a shade structure, placement of picnic tables benches and signage, and the creation of new concrete sidewalks and accessible pedestrian pathways throughout the park. Additional requirements include the renovation of existing restroom facilities, upgrades to the park’s lighting system with new fixtures and electrical components, installation of an ADA-compliant parking stall and restriping of parking spaces, landscaping improvements, and the construction of a new ADA-accessible route linking key recreational areas such as play courts. The project is supported by 104 detailed drawing sheets that outline the technical specifications and design requirements. Bidders must hold either a Florida Certified General Contractor License or a Florida Certified Building Contractor License, or another state or county license that the City deems legally permissible for the nature of the work. The solicitation, numbered 646, was posted on July 15, 2026, with a deadline for responses set for August 18, 2026, at 6:00 PM. All submissions must comply with the terms outlined in the Invitation to Bid and meet the City’s standards for compliance, safety, and accessibility.
