City of Prince George (the “City”) is seeking proposals from qualified consultants with proven experience in audiovisual (A/V) systems. The successful proponent shall demonstrate appropriate industry qualifications, technical expertise, and experience relevant to the scope of work. Relevant qualifications may include membership in recognized industry organizations such as the Audio Engineering Society, industry certifications, and demonstrated proficiency with specialized A/V design and acoustic modeling software, including programs such as AFMG EASE, Autodesk Revit, or equivalent tools.The City’s immediate priority is to modernize the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre’s (PGCCC) A/V systems, ensuring solutions incorporate current accessibility standards and are user-friendly, secure, and easy to operate, manage, and maintain. The scope of work may also include system programming and commissioning services, as required.This Civic Centre project represents Phase 1 of a two-phase initiative. Phase 1, to be completed in 2026, will focus on system assessment, design, and costing. Phase 2, anticipated for late 2026/2027, will involve implementation of the approved design, with the consultant providing support and oversight services as required throughout the implementation process.In addition to this initial project, the City intends to establish a multi-year (3 year) contract with the selected consultant to support future A/V initiatives across other City facilities. These projects will be undertaken on an as-needed basis, where specialized consulting services are required, there is not guarantee for quantity of work.Anticipated projects over the next several years may include, but are not limited to:Upgrades to City meeting and conference rooms, including redesigning A/V capabilities across multiple facilities. A/V systems review and enhancement at the Canfor Leisure Pool. A/V systems review at the Aquatic Centre, including scoreboards, sound systems, and control interfaces and Various additional small-scale A/V improvement projects across City facilities.This solicitation may lead to sequential or concurrent negotiations with one or more Proponents offering the most advantageous proposal(s), or to the creation of a Contract without negotiations.
